DIAL 2-1-1 TO FIND HELP FAST - FREE - CONFIDENTIAL - 24 HOURS A DAY - MULTILINGUAL / TTY

In Massachusetts, 2-1-1 is the direct link between people who need help and people who can give help.  2-1-1 connects you to local services -- from food, clothing, and shelter assistance to counseling, legal and financial services.  It's helpful, it's fast, and it couldn't be easier.  Dial 2-1-1 and you'll speak with a helpful Information & Referral Specialist who can assist you with local social service programs.

You can also find help online by going to www.mass211help.org.  The website features user friendly searches by name, agency, keyword, and location -- all available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

2-1-1 is the state's most comprehensive database of human service resources due to an existing relationship with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services.

The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency along with the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, has designated Mass 2-1-1 as the Commonwealth's primary telephone information call center during times of emergency.  The call center offers citizens the opportunity to access vital, up-to-date disaster information, numerous post-disaster programs, interpreter services, and call tracking of caller locations, greatly reducing the number of non-emergency calls made to 9-1-1.

  • Similar to your local telephone book, the internet, 4-1-1, and your local library, MASS2-1-1 is an information source for all services provided by government, faith-based, and community organizations.
  • MASS2-1-1 is a FREE non-judgmental information source that connects you to a trained information and referral specialist who suggests community and government organizations who can provide help.
  • All calls are confidential. Multilingual and TTY service is available
