Financial Stability Program Manager

As a member of the Operations Team, the Thrive Program Manager is responsible for the administration and implementation of the Thrive Financial Wellness Program. The primary area of responsibility will be conducting seminar style and 1:1 Financial Wellness programs to participants at partner agencies. Moreover, the Program Manager will be responsible for maintaining administrative records for the program. The Program Manager will further work directly with the Director of Program Operations and Community Outreach Team to build and foster relationships with agency partners and community stakeholders.

The hiring range for this position is $48,000 – $55,000 annually

 

Essential Functions

1: Program Delivery

The primary area of responsibility for this position lies in the delivery of Thrive Financial Wellness Programming to agency partners.

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting Financial Wellness seminars in line with Thrive SOP and Curriculum
  • Preparing exercises and activities for Thrive Seminars
  • Answering participant questions and supporting goal setting and achievement
  • Conducting limited 1:1 coaching in workforce development programs
  • Implementing best practices from training and development
  • Provide problem-solving and referral services to participants and agency partners

 

2: Program Administration

The Program Manager will be responsible for collecting and maintaining administrative files for the program, as well as maintaining the Seminar and Coaching schedule.

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Tracking participant intake forms and relevant metrics of performance
  • Entering data in tracking software
  • Scheduling Seminars and Coaching sessions
  • Compliance with grants/funder requirements

 

3: Program Support

The Program Manager will support team members in creating and maintaining relationships with agency partners, by meeting with agencies to assess their unique situations and to address life issues that are impacting work program participants. This includes developing trusting relationships with agency partners, program participants, and community partners.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Financial Wellness programming and best practices
  • Maintain relevant certification in Financial Wellness programming and delivery
  • Communicate and collaborate with all members of the organization
  • Uphold organizational missions and values
  • Understand and follow through with organizational and programmatic systems, protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Support special projects, events, and department staff as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred, Associates Degree required; an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that successfully demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position will be considered.

Experience

  • Three to five years of experience in Human Services programming

 

Skills

  • Evidence of excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills
  • Competency in program management software
  • Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate Seminars and Coaching sessions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members
  • Knowledge of nonprofit operations preferred
  • Demonstrated program management preferred
  • Competency with office equipment and software required
  • Spanish language skills preferred

 

Physical Demands of Job

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to walk and move frequently
  • Travel to offsite locations required – driver license required

 

Work Environment

  • Primarily works in a climate-controlled office based setting.
