Nearly one year ago, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline switched from a ten-digit number to 988 to serve as a way to make resources more accessible for people in crisis and those who may just need to talk. Since then, thousands of people have been helped.

Feed A Family, a program of United Way, took place at The Chicopee Cupboard and The Springfield Cupboard during the week of Thanksgiving.
Families received all the fixings for a full Thanksgiving meal, complete with gravy. An enormous thank you to the many volunteers, including the UMass Men’s Basketball team, who helped us prepare and distribute the bags of food.

The new United Way Cupboard on 226 Exchange Street is just a short distance from where the old Cupboard was located on Center Street but the larger area provides a world of difference for the many families in the Pioneer Valley who desperately need this help.
